London equity markets show renewed momentum in H1 2026

Published on 23 July 2026

London's equity markets are improving — and the London Stock Exchange's H1 2026 numbers confirm the upward trajectory.

AIM had a strong first half, with capital raised up over 50% year on year and a 13% increase in the number of transactions.

Across the Main Market and AIM there were 7 IPOs in H1 2026, raising £577.2 million ($781.5 million), more than three times the £182.9 million ($234.4 million) raised in H1 2025. London also recorded more than twice the number of equity offerings of the next most active European market.

Two transactions stand out:

  • UzNIF listed on the Main Market in May, raising $692.2 million: London's largest IPO of 2026 to date, and Europe's second largest
  • Rosebank Industries raised $2,551.9 million in March through a follow-on offer on AIM - the largest equity offering in AIM's history

While this growth has been concentrated in a handful of large deals, the direction of travel is encouraging.

At RPC, our Public Companies team have had a busy H1 2026 advising on UK deals and further afield, including advising:

  • Ceres Power Holdings plc, a leading developer of clean energy technology listed on the Main Market, on its £100 million equity placing
  • Dotlines Global Limited, a technology group operating across the telecomms, digital infrastructure, cybersecurity and fintech sectors, on its admission to trading on AIM
  • Frasers Group plc on its €1.98 billion takeover bid for HUGO BOSS, a leading global fashion and lifestyle company, and also on Frasers' £166 million bid for Australian listed retailer, Accent Group
  • Hannam & Partners on an equity placing and retail offer raising £44.37 million for Tungsten West Plc, an AIM-quoted mining company
  • Coiled Therapeutics Plc, an AIM-quoted biotech company, on its reverse takeover and acquisition of a clinical-stage oral oncology drug

We look forward to seeing more transactions come through in the London market over the second half of 2026.
