RPC recognised as top-tier firm across Legal 500 and Chambers UK rankings 2027

Global law firm RPC has proudly been recognised once again in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK 2027 guides, achieving top-tier rankings across key practice areas with over 100 lawyers recognised for their expertise.

Legal 500

RPC has achieved over 205 lawyer rankings and recommendations and maintained all eight top-tier rankings in Legal 500 this year, including Commercial Contracts, Media (Advertising & Marketing; Digital Content & Social; Theatre, Publishing and Other Media; and Video Games), Professional Negligence (South West), Reputation Management and Retail and Consumer. These highlight the firm's market-leading Media team, which have acted on some of the most high-profile defamation disputes of the past year, and flagship Insurance sector, which continues to grow globally with the opening of the New York office. The rankings also reflect RPC's thriving Commercial practice and successful Consumer Brands & Retail group, which recently partnered with Raising the Glass, the UK's first-of-its-kind network for women and allies in drinks.

An incredible 50 of RPC's practices now rank overall, with the ESG practice seeing an improved ranking for the second year running. This follows the firm's industry-first ESG Evolve whitepaper, toolkit and network, and recent recognitions including Partner Kelly Thomson's inclusion as an ESG Trailblazer in LawUK's ESG Power List, and Senior Associate and Environment and Climate Change Practice Lead Sophie Tuson's ranking as a Next Generation Sustainability Leader in Legal 500's Green Ambassadors programme 2027.

 The firm has ranked across 29 practice areas in Chambers UK guide this year, and maintained all 11 Band 1 rankings, across Banking Litigation: Mainly Claimant, Commercial Contracts, Construction (Professional Negligence), Corporate/M&A (£10-£100m), Defamation/Reputation Management, Media & Entertainment (Advertising & Marketing and Publishing), Professional Negligence (London and South West), Retail and Tax (Contentious: Fraud). These reflect the firm's standout Tax team and Corporate practice, and follows RPC being shortlisted for Public M&A Team of the Year in Law.com's British Legal Awards. RPC's litigation strengths were also recently commended winning Dispute Resolution Team of the Year in the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2026.
