RPC promotes three new Partners and six Of Counsel in latest round of promotions

International law firm RPC has announced the promotion of three new Partners and six Of Counsel, effective 1 May 2025.

The promotions reinforce an RPC commitment to recognising and investing in its exceptional people and practices – ensuring the firm continues to deliver outstanding service and commercial solutions for its clients around the world.

This year’s promotions span the firm's practices across its London, Bristol, and Hong Kong offices – aligning with RPC’s strategic focus on supporting clients with complex disputes, regulatory challenges, and commercial growth ambitions.

New Partners

 The newly promoted Partners and their principal areas of practice are:

  • Annabella Chu (Hong Kong) – A commercial disputes specialist within our insurance professional defence practice, advising on complex claims and regulatory investigations involving accountants and lawyers.
  • Adam Forster (London) – An experienced commercial litigator with a focus on financial and commercial disputes, advising corporates, financial institutions, trusts and ultra-high-net-worth individuals on domestic and international, high-value claims.
  • Eleanor Harley (London) – A specialist in commercial, technology, and outsourcing matters, advising clients on complex contractual arrangements. Her expertise includes partnerships, bespoke services, supply, franchising, distribution, brand licensing, logistics, and warehousing.

New Of Counsel

 Those promoted to Of Counsel are:

  • Bryony Howe (London) – Advising on professional and financial risks within the Insurance team, with expertise in defending claims against professionals and handling coverage disputes.
  • Tom Jenkins (London) – A specialist in investigations and financial crime, advising corporates and individuals on bribery, corruption, fraud, money laundering, regulatory defence, and the design and enhancement of compliance programmes.
  • Liam McKay (London) – Advising on tax, investigations, and financial crime, with experience in domestic and international regulatory and enforcement proceedings.
  • Emma Wherry (Bristol) – A construction specialist within the Insurance team, advising insurers in relation to policy coverage, acting on a broad range of construction-related disputes and representing construction professionals in disciplinary proceedings.
  • Christopher Whitehouse (London) – A specialist in complex commercial disputes, with a focus on high-value civil fraud, banking and financial services litigation, and emerging technology disputes. He is a recognised expert in crypto assets and a founder of the Crypto Fraud and Asset Recovery network.
  • Matthew Wood (London) – An insurance lawyer in the Professional and Financial Risks team advising on complex claims, with a particular focus on warranty and indemnity (W&I) and other financial lines business.
