Tom McQuail

Partner

Tom is a Partner with deep specialist knowledge in EU and UK competition/Antitrust law as well as wider EU law and National Security. Most of his career has been based in Brussels advising international clients on competition and matters involving EU law. Tom's client base is particularly broad, working with the full spectrum of retail & consumer organisations, consultancies, steel, tech & media as well as logistics, chemical and insurance businesses. He is a member of the Brussels Flemish Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Key to my role is getting to know our client's business and what they want need from their lawyers.  To do this I keep listening and check periodically for feedback."

Representing a multinational on an ongoing cartel investigation under Article 101 TFEU. (Client confidential)

Representing SoftBank/Arm on the Nvidia/Arm merger involving Phase 2 merger investigations in the EU and UK and a National Security Phase 2 in the UK.  Previous firm. 

Representing Essity on obtaining EUMR clearance with remedies on its acquisition of Georgia-Pacific Europe's tissue business.  [Previous firm but working with RPC on this for the same client]
