"Much of my work has an international aspect. I have been heavily involved in international arbitrations under leading institutions (including HKIAC, CIETAC and LCIA) seated in Hong Kong, Beijing and London. I have worked on matters involving enforcement and set aside of arbitral awards originating from the Netherlands and the US. In addition, I have experience in cyber matters in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand and Japan.

On the regulatory side, I have experience in regulatory investigations and disciplinary proceedings initiated by the AFRC and PCPD.

Anson's recent work highlights:

Representing a Dutch technology company in its successful defence of a $10m claim by one of China's largest technology and social media companies in a CIETAC arbitration in Beijing in relation to the alleged breach of a joint venture agreement.  

Representing a Hong Kong education company to successfully resist enforcement of an arbitral award on ground of the tribunal's failure to provide reasons on material issues.

Defending a Big Four accountancy firm in parallel litigation and arbitration proceedings related to claims for over $540m in respect of alleged negligence in carrying out annual audits of a listed PRC corporation.  

Advising a Vietnamese company in relation to a cyber incident involving data theft.
