"Defending media litigation can be a daunting experience and I strive to make that process as painless as possible for clients"

"My practice is focused on the Technology, Media & Entertainment sector. I am passionate about freedom of expression and information and enjoy both defending and facilitating it prior to publication - from powerful investigative journalism through to individuals sharing their personal experiences online. The interplay between freedom of expression and the rights to reputation and privacy is very engaging and continues to be a relevant and incredibly interesting debate.

I care deeply about securing a good outcome for my clients and supporting them throughout the process. Defending media litigation can be a daunting experience and I strive to make that process as painless as possible for clients, no matter their previous litigation experience."

Megan's recent work highlights:

Acted for The Spectator to successfully defend a defamation and data protection claim brought by Mohammed Hijab.

Strike-out of harassment proceedings brought by a cosmetic surgery clinic Signature Medical Limited against a patient over comments on a recovery support group.

Regularly advising and acting for a technology company on claims arising from users of its service.

Acting for an individual in a landmark data protection claim concerning how government bodies process subject access requests and apply the tax exemption under the DPA 2018.
