Onboarding claims for new MGA in financial lines

A newly created MGA, backed by a broker and existing capacity provider, required a trusted partner to handle claims for a transferred financial lines portfolio.

Overview

The legacy claims remained with the original in-house team, while new notifications were to be handled externally.

RPC’s role

RPC was selected due to its strong market reputation and existing relationships through its legal panel work. We were engaged from the outset to support the design and implementation of a bespoke claims handling solution. Our responsibilities included:

  • Collaborating on process design, system integration, and UAT testing
  • Providing full MI capture and reporting to support underwriting and actuarial insight
  • Offering loss fund holding solutions
  • Ensuring robust stakeholder engagement, resource planning, and compliance alignment
  • Delivering training and technical support in partnership with our financial lines team

Outcome

This project showcased our collaborative approach and claims expertise that supported the MGA's ability to implement their preferred claims model and to support clients with technical expertise and a long-term partnership approach.
