Our masterclasses sessions are practical, interactive, 40-minute workshops where we explore three regulatory incident scenarios.
Each session will run twice, with attendees able to select two out of three sessions to attend. Full details of each session can be found below, please select your session preferences when registering for the event.
Internal regulatory investigations: a comprehensive workshop
Led by: Sam Tate, Matthew Griffith, Graham Reid and Toby Lamarque
Explore the critical aspects of managing internal regulatory and/or criminal investigations in this focused workshop. Participants will engage in a scenario-based learning environment, navigating through the intricacies of an investigation from start to finish including responding to initial regulator requests, viewpoints on regulator engagement from insurance perspective, handling potential whistle-blower information and staff interviews, securing and protecting data, as well as implementing best practices to manage risks adeptly, ensuring appropriate internal oversight and avoiding common pitfalls.
Mastering the dawn raid: an interactive response workshop

This session dives deep into the mechanics of a dawn raid, featuring a live simulation that puts you at the heart of the action. Gain first hand experience with a step-by-step walkthrough of a raid timeline, learn key preparatory strategies, and essential immediate responses. Equip your team with the knowledge and confidence to effectively manage a dawn raid, ensuring compliance and minimising business disruption.
Navigating ransomware incidents: an interactive masterclass

Join us for a hands-on session where you will step into the shoes of a company responding to a ransomware incident. This introductory masterclass offers a dynamic exploration of data breach scenarios, including the immediate priorities, understanding regulatory implications, and evaluating potential claims. Participants will engage in a simulated extortion, deciding whether to engage with the extortionist under expert guidance. Equip yourself with practical skills and insights to effectively manage and mitigate the impacts of ransomware incidents.
