Published on 20 January 2026

International law firm RPC has advised Atrium and its management team on completion of its successful acquisition by CRC Group from investment funds managed by Stone Point Capital LLC and other investors.

Atrium, which manages Syndicate 609 and recently launched Syndicate 2026 at Lloyd's, is recognised for its expertise across property, casualty, and speciality insurance and reinsurance. Atrium will continue to operate under its own brand and leadership, with the management team remaining in place.

This transaction marks CRC Group’s first investment outside of North America and represents a significant strategic step in the growth of its global platform.

The RPC team was led by Partner and Head of Corporate Insurance James Mee, working closely with Senior Associates Xolani Ntamane and Rob Eccles, Associates Rachel Stanley and Amy McGinn, Tax Partner Ben Roberts and Tax & Incentives Senior Counsel Charles Suchett-Kaye, with support from Partner Chris Brierley.

James remarks: “We’re proud to have supported the team at Atrium on this significant transaction, and to have worked closely with them throughout."
