RPC bolsters market-leading Data & Cyber team as high-profile insurance and cyber specialist Ed Lewis joins as Partner in London

International law firm RPC has appointed Ed Lewis, a recognised specialist in cyber incident response, as a Partner in its London office, further enhancing the firm's global insurance offering.

Ed Lewis joins from CyXcel at Weightmans and specialises in cyber within the insurance sector, advising the insurance and reinsurance market on cyber coverage, defending Tech E&O claims and handling high-profile cyber breach response matters. He is a trusted adviser to corporates, public bodies, insurers and the emergency services, and is recognised for combining expansive cyber expertise with a deep understanding of insurance law and coverage interpretation.

With a strong reputation as a "marquee name" for his cyber and insurance work, Ed is consistently ranked by the leading legal directories described as "tenacious and hugely effective" and "brilliant, an excellent negotiator; bright, commercial, serious and tough".

Ed is joining RPC with Associates Michela Resta and Rebecca Jackson. His appointment follows the additions of Tom Mungovan, who joined London's Insurance team as Partner with Senior Associate Emma Smith, and Sumyutha Sivamani, who joined the Data & Cyber team as Partner in Singapore. As well as working closely with the firm's Insurance Group, Ed will also work closely with Partners Cavan Fabris and Jon Bartley, in the firm's Data & Cyber team.
