"I work with clients to get them into the deals they want, and to keep them out of the trouble they don't."
"Over the years I have built trusting, long-term relationships with a range of clients based on a deep sectoral knowledge and a focus on their specific objectives and challenges. Becoming well-integrated with client teams enables me to offer pragmatic, strategic advice that aligns legal solutions to business priorities.
My experience includes secondments to the in-house legal teams at a media and telecoms company and a global consumer technology brand, which has given me first-hand experience of what clients really want – and need – from their legal advisers. In short, I work with clients to get them into the deals they want, and to keep them out of the trouble they don't."
Jonathan's recent work highlights:
Acting for Shepherd Neame on a range of commercial contracts matters, including in respect of one of its most significant contracts - its warehousing and logistics partnership with GXO Logistics.
Advising Link Scheme Ltd on the implementation of new rules introduced by the Financial Conduct Authority to protect access to cash for consumers and small businesses across the UK.
A secondment to Sony Interactive Entertainment (the Sony group entity that owns and operates the 'PlayStation' branded hardware and software), on which he acted as the lead commercial contracts lawyer for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Advising a joint venture owned by the J. Safra and P. Peress Groups on a franchising agreement with flexible workspace provider IWG plc, which granted the clients exclusive rights to use IWG’s brands in Switzerland.
