"I am able to swiftly identify the factual and legal issues at play and collaborate with my clients to form a business savvy and pragmatic way forward. Clients trust my facilitative style and commercial sense."

"Much of my work is international - I work with clients in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore, London and across Asia and Europe. As for local clients, the matters I advise on often have a cross-border element in terms of the place of business, key events or documents and/or applicable laws and regulations.

My clients like working with me because I take a genuine interest in understanding the environment my clients operate in and learn to speak their language. Clients don't want to just be told the law, they want support with navigating difficult issues and having realisable plans that are developed around their needs and goals.

I am able to swiftly identify the factual and legal issues at play and collaborate with my clients to form a business savvy and pragmatic way forward. Clients trust my facilitative style and commercial sense.

I believe that it is important to maintain open lines of communication both internally with clients and their stakeholders as well with other parties. My versatility with respect to communication is often a key to bridging the gap between my clients and their counterparties."

Annabella's recent work highlights:

  • Defending a major international accountancy firm in proceedings related to a claim for over $1.9bn in respect of alleged negligence in carrying out annual audits of a listed PRC, global industry leading, corporation.

  • Acting for a Big Four in allegations that, as a result of breaches of its duties during audits, they failed to detect alleged frauds occurring within a multinational corporation resulting in loss of over HK$800m.
