RPC strengthens its international arbitration capability as Solomon Ebere joins the London office as Partner
International law firm RPC has appointed Solomon Ebere as a Partner in its London office, building on the firm's rapidly growing international arbitration practice and accelerating its global arbitration capabilities.
Solomon joins from DWF, with a focus on international arbitration and experience across both commercial and investment treaty arbitration, particularly in emerging markets including Africa and Turkey.
Solomon has acted for multinational corporations, sovereign State-owned entities and private clients in arbitrations conducted under the rules of major arbitral institutions, including ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, ICDR and the Swiss Arbitration Rules, and has experience in related proceedings before the English and US courts. He has also gained particular expertise in dispute resolution through negotiated diplomatic and political approaches, drawing upon expertise across law, policy, business and communications.
Solomon's arrival builds on RPC's expanding international arbitration practice in the UK and Asia, following the recent appointment of Ankit Goyal, Partner and Head of India desk, in Singapore, and the promotion of Kirtan Prasad to Partner in London – further expanding RPC's international arbitration Partners globally.
Shai Wade, Partner and Head of International Arbitration at RPC, said: "Solomon brings further growth and momentum to our international arbitration practice. His experience as a powerful advocate in complex cross-border disputes, and his focus on emerging markets, will enhance our offering for clients and strengthen our ability to work seamlessly across the UK and Asia. We look forward to working closely with him as we continue to build our global arbitration capability."
David Cran, Partner and Head of Disputes at RPC, added: "We are delighted to welcome Solomon to RPC. He has an impressive track record across both commercial and investment arbitration, and his arrival is another important step in continuing to grow the breadth, depth and international profile of our disputes offering. Solomon further strengthens our arbitration bench and supports our position as the go-to firm for disputes."
A quadruple national (French, Nigerian, USA and UK), Solomon conducts arbitrations in English and French. He is admitted to the New York Bar and the Paris Bar, and is a registered foreign lawyer in England and Wales. He has been recognised as a leader in his field for many years by Lexology Index Arbitration (former Who's Who Legal: Arbitration), where he is currently Recommended, and was named an Africa Arbitration Rising Star.
Commenting on joining the firm, Solomon said: "I am really excited to be joining RPC's leading international arbitration practice, and I look forward to collaborating with Shai and colleagues across the firm to support clients facing complex, cross-border disputes. It is a brilliant time to become part of the growing team and build on RPC's reputation as a disputes powerhouse."
