Solomon specialises in international arbitration and dispute resolution. He acts for multinational corporations, sovereign state-owned entities and private clients in arbitrations conducted under the rules of major arbitral institutions, including ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC, LCIA, ICDR and the Swiss Arbitration Rules, and has experience in related proceedings before the English and US courts. He has also gained expertise in dispute resolution through negotiated diplomatic and political approaches, drawing upon expertise across law, policy, business and communications. Solomon has been recognised as a leader in arbitration for many years by Lexology Index and was named as an Africa Arbitration Rising Star.

Representing British investors in an ICSID arbitration against the Republic of Mozambique, under the UK – Mozambique bilateral investment treaty in relation to the unlawful expropriation of two mining licences to explore heavy mineral sands in Mozambique.
Representing a Nigerian oil company in two parallel ICC arbitrations and related English court proceedings brought by an oil major and its lenders.
Representing a Turkish contractor in an ICSID arbitration against the Republic of Slovenia under the Turkey-Slovenia bilateral investment treaty in relation to the unfair treatment in relation to the construction of two railway lines.
Representing an African State in an ICC arbitration against a Dutch investor in relation to the termination of a power purchase agreement.
Representing an Emirati investor in an investment treaty arbitration against an African State under the Agreeement on Promotion, Protection and Guarantee of Investments of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference in relation to the termination of a mining concession.
Representing the Republic of The Gambia in three parallel ICSID arbitrations commenced by UK investors over the alleged expropriation of offshore oil blocks.
